Christmas is approaching and the festivities have begun early! The malls and hotels are decked out in festive Christmas decor and the retail outlets are full of fantastic offers. October and November have been full of concerts, parties, exhibitions and more, and tours and hotels that had closed down during the Covid era are back in full swing. Looking back on the year that was, it is an amazing compliment to the resilience of Sri Lankans that things have returned to such a sense of normalcy.Christmas is approaching and the festivities have begun early! Bonjour! Hallo! Privet! Air France and the Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) are the latest operators to resume flight operations to Sri Lanka. Ecotourism gets a knowledge boost Students of the Academy of Wildlife, Ecotourism and Nature Interpretation (AWENI) took part in a Fieldwork Training Session (FTS) recently. The students are part of the Sri Jayawardenapura University and the session was aimed at empowering the students by updating their knowledge about Ecotourism.
